There’s steak, and then there’s steak. One taste of our chilli crusted Northumbrian fillet and you’ll wonder what it is you’ve been eating all these years. The steak alone is enough to make you a convert; with our dark and mysterious Ancho chilli and mushroom sauce you’ll probably end up a disciple.

Prime Northumbrian fillet of beef (approx 600g raw weight), cumin seeds, flat leaf parsley, Ancho chillis, chilli powder, extra virgin olive oil, onion, field mushrooms, garlic, red wine, chicken stock, honey.
Preheat an oven 200. Remove all outer packaging and place tray in oven for approx 20 mins for medium (more or less cooking depending on your taste!). Remove the meat from the oven and allow to rest and carve the fillet as you like it.Pour the sauce into a small pan and bring to a simmer and pour over the steak or serve on the side.
Keep refrigerated and use within 3 days. Do not freeze.
