How to throw a fang-tastic Halloween dinner party

With the 31st day of the month fast approaching, the season of spooktacular fun is once again catching up with us. If you fancy switching the trick-or-treating for something a bit more grown up, a haunted Hallows’ Eve event could be the perfect pick! Why not invite your nearest and dearest over for a fright night feast and celebrate in style with a sophisticated soiree? If you aren’t sure how to incorporate the Halloween theme to your dinner table then do not fret because as always More More More is here to step in with the very best of hosting expertise. Here is our ghostly guide to throwing a fang-tastic Halloween dinner party…

#1 Welcome Drinks

Greet your guests on arrival with some witching welcome drinks. Hosting a Halloween dinner calls for a signature drink and there are thousands of delicious halloween cocktail recipes on the web. A favourite of ours is Halloween punch, a spiced rum punch which you could even try serving to your guests inside a carved out pumpkin as a bowl. However, if you don’t fancy stewing something up yourself why not take a look at our More More More pre-made cocktail selection.

#2 Play Dress Up

You aren’t five anymore, so put down the pumpkin suit! Rather than planning out a whole new outfit, tell guests upon inviting them that there is no need to treat it like a best dressed competition but take it as an opportunity to relax and wear what they want. A simple headdress or even Halloween themed tie would do the job and stop anyone fussing over what to wear.

#3 Halloween Decorations

Of course, Halloween is all about the decorations! However, there is no need to over complicate your centrepieces or table settings when planning your evening, so keep it simple but in keeping with your spooky theme. For a table centrepiece, put down the  kitsch carved pumpkins and give a festive feel with an array of eclectic shaped squashes, vibrant Autumnal flowers or fall-time fruits. Lighting dark, black candles can add to the spooky sophistication and create an atmospheric ambience. Add to the lighting with a string of fairy lights, hung around the room to twinkle in the darkness.

#4 Entertainment

Keep the conversation and laughs flowing all night long with some Halloween themed entertainment for your dinner party. A great idea for your guests is to host a murder mystery game, where party goers aim to track down the criminal murderer amongst the group. Your guests can become characters in a story and do their best best acting performance!
